During his career as a painter and printmaker Morikazu made more than forty woodblock prints featuring flowers and (or) birds. Ten examples are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Morikazu’s drawing style was unusual. He simplified shapes, added little or none of their surface details and typically colored objects evenly.
